Brockway Springs
Where California begins and Nevada’s border ends, where Lake Tahoe’s shore rests in the north, you will find Brockway. It became part of King’s Beach in the 1960s after a fire destroyed the main hotel and post office. What distinguishes Brockway from many other towns is its hot springs, one of the least sulfuric in the world. And with hot springs came those seeking healing. This started Brockway’s tourism industry. While hot springs are divine to swim in, skiing is what’ll bring you, because Lake Tahoe, California, is almost synonymous with skiing. And while Lake Tahoe is almost synonymous with skiing, it’s not completely synonymous with skiing, meaning in the natural world which defines Lake Tahoe, there are as many activities as you could wish on the lake and in the Sierra Mountains.
